MAGIC EXISTS SON
Well, this is spoilers i guess, but its so minor, i doubt anybody cares, so you can read this one even if you haven't read the series.
Story: so in explaining why we survived the end of the world and why we're in some sort of weird pocket dimension, i decided that it was a curse placed on Mr. Sherman family that has endured hundreds of years. it also ended up telling the story of how the 13 generals came into existence and where they came from. it pretty much told the story of coach Sherman's great x20 grandfather: Augustus Jack Sherman. how he met, and betrayed a witch and the curse she placed on him.
lore i didn't make clear: MAGIC EXISTS SON! yeah, i never made that clear. but i realized later on that yeah, in this almost exclusively mystical science fiction setting I verified the existence of magic. so yeah, monsters, magic, and witches exist. and are very, very deadly. i never really realized the implications within this and how deep this could go.
stuff i could expand on: witch hunts, corrupt politics, and salem witch trials are already pretty interesting enough. but throw in the fact that witches are REAL AND that magic EXISTS and you've got an interesting drama. it could either be a period piece, a political drama, or a magical action adventure. and common, how is jack sherman not the coolest hero to ever live.
